THRIVE: Advancing Data-Driven Solutions for Violence Prevention - Empowering Nonprofits with Tools and Strategies to Counter Violent Extremism

The Eradicate Hate Global Summit Initiative is leading an innovative effort that provides integral data analysis support to 35 nonprofit organizations that receive funding through the Department of Homeland Security's Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program. These organizations are at the forefront of combating violence and extremism; however, such complex challenges require precise and effective strategies. This project enables grantees to have the most advanced data tools and analytical competencies to help them refine their efforts, leverage resources more effectively, and achieve meaningful results.

Among its priorities is the Technical Help and Resources for Interventions against Violent Extremism, also known as THRIVE. It is a groundbreaking program that seeks to strengthen the capacities of nonprofit organizations engaged in violence prevention. It has since grown into a national model for how data-driven, tailored interventions can take on the root causes of violent extremism. The program ensures that prevention strategies are not only effective but scalable and adaptable to different communities across the country.

What is unique to THRIVE is its impetus on sustainability: instead of providing short-term solutions, the program built lasting capacity within organizations, with tools and knowledge that kept on providing long after the life of the grant. This is a progressive outlook that meets the federal government's commitment to building resilience in communities and ensuring that safety and security belong to all in America.
